About SF Fitness
The centre was set up by John O'Connell, head coach and owner, who says he saw a lack of expert guidance for over-45s in many gyms. Every new member starts with a movement and posture assessment, and programmes are tailored to injuries, aches and fitness level.
Progress is monitored with an InBody analyser, and members receive a personalised nutrition plan and follow-up outside session times. The site says its oldest member is 75, and members include people with arthritis, back surgeries and cancer survivors.
