How to choose
- Whether the session is shared or a private booking, and the maximum group size.
- If a cold plunge or sea access is included, and how far it is from the heat.
- Session length and price per person, and whether there are off-peak slots.
- Towels, changing space and what to bring. Many sea-side sessions ask for your own towel and swim wear.
- Cancellation terms. Weather-dependent outdoor sessions often move or cancel.
Sauna in Dublin now covers a few different things: private-hire cabins, shared public sessions, sea-side saunas where you step straight into the water, and spa-style heat rooms attached to gyms and hotels. They are priced and booked very differently, so the useful comparison is the type of session, not just the cost.
Most places run fixed sessions you book in advance, often with a short cold plunge or sea swim between rounds of heat. Some offer a guided session with a host who explains the routine.
Questions people ask
How much does a sauna session cost in south Dublin and north Wicklow?
Prices on this page are taken from each provider's own website and vary by session type, group size and time of day. Open a place below to see the price it publishes and the date we last checked it.
Do I need to book a sauna in advance?
Most sessions are booked online in advance, and popular evening and weekend slots fill first. Each place's page links to its booking page.
What should I bring to a sauna session?
Usually a towel, swim wear and water, and flip flops for the changing area. Individual providers list their own requirements on their sites, and we include them on the page where they publish them.
Is sauna safe for everyone?
Heat and cold exposure are not suitable for everyone, including some people with heart or blood pressure conditions and during pregnancy. If you are unsure, check with your GP and read the provider's health guidance before you book.
