How to choose

  • Whether the session is shared or a private booking, and the maximum group size.
  • If a cold plunge or sea access is included, and how far it is from the heat.
  • Session length and price per person, and whether there are off-peak slots.
  • Towels, changing space and what to bring. Many sea-side sessions ask for your own towel and swim wear.
  • Cancellation terms. Weather-dependent outdoor sessions often move or cancel.

Sauna in Dublin now covers a few different things: private-hire cabins, shared public sessions, sea-side saunas where you step straight into the water, and spa-style heat rooms attached to gyms and hotels. They are priced and booked very differently, so the useful comparison is the type of session, not just the cost.

Most places run fixed sessions you book in advance, often with a short cold plunge or sea swim between rounds of heat. Some offer a guided session with a host who explains the routine.
